Grupo Faustino is Doing its Bit in The Times of Corona.

Since the onset of the Covid-19 crisis, Grupo Faustino has been helping several organisations in the Basque Country, La Rioja and Madrid.

Grupo Faustino is helping to overcome Covid-19 by donating protective equipment and supplies to several organisations in the Basque Country, La Rioja and Madrid.

The winery has taken a proactive stance, enquiring about the actual needs of the different centres so as to procure the specific supplies, which are so difficult to source during these times.

The supplies donated include high-protection FPP2 masks, gloves, bio suits, PPE, protective screens, digital and laser thermometers, hydro-alcoholic hand sanitising gel, etc. In total more than 123,500 units of supplies have been donated thus far.  And we are still working to source more supplies for the upcoming weeks.

Some of the organisations that have received the supplies are San Pedro Hospital in Logroño, Txagorritxu Hospital in Vitoria, Jiménez Díaz Hospital in Madrid, Alcorcón Hospital, Donostia Hospital in San Sebastián, Leza Hospital in Álava and numerous care homes for the elderly in the Basque Country.

Grupo Faustino first started to provide help in this crisis in January, sending medical supplies to China to help the people there. And now, it is China that is reciprocating by sending medical supplies to Spain to help us in these difficult moments.

Francisco Honrubia, CEO of Grupo Faustino, said, “It is an honour to be able to do our bit in these complicated times and see that the help we recently sent to China, through our importing company, Cofco Wines & Spirits, has been more than returned. What’s more, we’ve been able to help in our neighbouring regions.”
