4 Medals for the Faustino Group at the Challenge International du Vin

Faustino Group has won 4 Medals at the prestigious and famous international wine contest, Challenge International du Vin in Bourdeaux. Faustino Edición Especial 2001 has been awarded with a Silver Medal in this edition. This wine is a tribute to Julio Faustino Martínez, the President of Grupo Faustino and celebrates the 50 anniversary of his first wine making. Excellent; that was the rating of the 2001 vintage. The clusters from our Majadahonda vineyard were picked with the greatest care, one at a time. The grapes were fermented with their skins in small tanks for 19 days, after which the first traces of the superb quality of this product were already discernible. Having spent 18 months in exquisitely-crafted casks made from the best French oak, the wine was bottled and laid to rest for 20 months to acquire perfection. the Faustino Edición Especial is a deep, intense, cherry-red dominated by purples hues. Its powerful aromas sublimely bring together the fruit with notes of vanilla, leather and liquorice. After a vigorous attack, a complex gamut of sensorial notes is beautifully integrated into elegant, refined tannins. Apart from this medal, other wines from the Group have obtained the following awards: Silver Medal: Condesa de Leganza Rosé 2009 Bronze Medal: Cava Faustino Brut Reserva and Condesa de Leganza Crianza 2005 These awards come to add to the last awards received by the faustino Group.
