Grupo Faustino to be at Fitur, one of World´s leading tourist Trade Fairs

Grupo Faustino, the emblematic La Rioja winemaking group with 7 wineries in 5 Spanish designations of origin, will be at FITUR from Wednesday, 17 January to present all the new features and experiences that its various wineries offer tourists and visitors throughout the year.

FITUR international tourism trade fair is being held in Madrid 17-21 January. It has undoubtedly become one of the main tourist fairs worldwide, becoming a global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading fair for Latin American inbound and outbound markets. Grupo Faustino will be present in Fitur within the area of the Spanish Wine Tourism Association. in Hall 9 of IFEMA (Stand C15), where different activities will be carried out during the 5 days of the fair. Admission to all events is free until full capacity is reached.

On Thursday 18 at 1:30 p.m., at the wine tourism masterclass tastings, the renowned Lady of Wine, Isabel Mijares, will be tasting our Faustino Icon Edition 2011.

Do come to our stand to learn about the different activities that we organise during the year at our wineries, as well as to learn all the secrets behind our wines. In addition, on 18 January at 1:00 pm, Grupo Faustino will be participating in the professional discussion panel on the future of wine tourism, describing its success story.

A commitment to wine tourism

Gerardo Alonso, marketing manager, Grupo Faustino explains that “we have a strong commitment to wine tourism because we consider it a key piece in our customers’ experience with the brand. Few sectors can welcome consumers to the place where everything starts and explain and show them all the processes involved in making their product. So, wine tourism is the best way to keep our consumers and make new ones. The Group has made a major wine tourism effort in the last two years now and now we are starting to collect the fruits of our work”.

Bodegas Portia, 2017 Excelencias Gourmet prize

At the FITUR fair Bodegas Portia, the emblematic Grupo Faustino wine tourism winery, with more than 25,000 visitors a year, will collect the 2017 Excelencias Gourmet Prize awarded to the renewed gastronomic proposal of its Triennia Gastrobar. According to the jury panel, the Triennia provides the perfect completion to a tour of the winery, an architectural icon and art world reference thanks to its exhibitions, and the possibility of tasting its wines; all of which makes for an excellent gourmet experience.
